Lead Bricks are a Robust Shielding Solution
Lead bricks (or blocks) have a high density, making them effective at protecting from gamma rays, x-rays, and other forms of radiation. Lead is also used for weighting and balancing for boats, bridges and other applications. Flat lead bricks are ideal for projects that require shielding . These bricks meet or exceed the federal specification QL-201-F.
Coatings and Finishing for Lead Bricks
Epoxy coating is a robust and economical method to provide some degree of protection from lead when handling bricks. Considering the increasing focus on lead by environmental, health, and safety organizations, most of our customers prefer to have their lead parts encapsulated in some type of coating. These coatings prevent employees, contractors, and customers from having direct contact with lead.
